General CDL Requirements:
- Hold a valid non-commercial driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
- Be at least 21 years old to drive a commercial vehicle across state lines or with hazardous materials.
- Have 1-2 years of driving experience.
- Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency.
- Submit a Social Security card or proof of number.
- Provide another document like a birth certificate or green card.
- Pass all required background screenings.
- List all states where you’ve been licensed in the past 10 years.
- No active driver’s license suspensions or revocations in any state.
- Surrender your regular state driver’s license once you earn a CDL.
- Certify that you’re not disqualified under FMCSA or state law and do not hold more than one driver’s license.
- Be able to speak and read English, as written exams are only in English.

Classic Traffic School LLC Requirements:
- Bring your DOT physical card, CDL permit, and valid ID when applying in person.
- A drug test is required before enrolling.
Payment Methods:
- Installment Program: Requires a down payment. The full balance must be paid before graduation. No finance charges apply.
- Credit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
